To protect surfaces, always use drink coasters and placemats. Wipe up any spills immediately. Use protective pads under hot dishes. Cover the bottoms of all tabletop accessories with felt pads.
Do not place wood, furnishings or artwork in direct sunlight. 3M UV Window Film is a great way to safely let the light shine in. Be sure to specify the clear version that will not change the color of your window’s glass.
Swiffer Dusters are an easy way to maintain the house without a lot of work. Cordless Vacuums are another favorite. They get the job done and now fussing with cords or heavy equipment.
Our stone experts recommend using a PH neutral stone cleaner. Our favorite go to is Italian Craftman Polish. It cleans and protects. It’s great on wood and metal too. You can use it on your stainless steel appliances and wood surfaces.
Periodically buff a wood table with a lint free cloth and A Touch of BeesWax. This has prevented many a furniture refurbish. Use liberally on all furnishings. It’s great on antiques and vintage furniture keeping them looking great. It protects your special pieces from water damage, although we always recommend a coaster.
All existing furniture that sits on wood floors should get felt pads added before use. But don’t rely on the stick that comes with felt pads, rather, use hot glue to ensure the pads stay in place.
There is no need for anyone to slave hours polishing fine silver. Wash with a gentle dish soap, wipe dry and buff with silver cleaning wipes. To maintain use Connoisseurs Silver Wipes to effortlessly keep your silver untarnished.
We hate dirty toilet brushes. The Clorox Toilet Wand is an easy, germ free way to keep your toilets pristine. For all porcelain, use Bar Keepers Friend. This truly is your best friend. It can also be used to clean your kitchen glass cooktops and stainless steel.
Vinegar is a great glass and mirror cleaner leaving them spotless and germ free but the scent is not very appealing. We love The Laundress Scented Vinegar. It not only cleans but also deodorizes leaving a fresh scent.
Brass can be so hard to clean and bring back to life. We love a nice patina but when we want the brass to shine our trick is vinegar and Bar Keepers Friend.

For daily upkeep of your furniture lint rollers are a must. We also recommend Fiberseal for upholstery and carpet cleaning.
Carpets can be spot treated with Capture carpet and rug cleaners. Always check for vacuum recommendations.
